"Matt and Kristi are wonderful hosts. Their home is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. The location is within walking distance to all the main street activities but far enough removed to enjoy a peaceful stay. Their home is right on the water, many lovely spots to sit and take in the view. The proximity to the sand bar allows for easy access to Bar Island at low tide, a must do experience! Easy access by car to Acadia. Kristi’s morning breakfast rivals any place on the island. Both Matt and Kristi were happy to answer our many questions and give recommendations. We enjoyed our 3 night stay and will stay here again if we make it back to Bar Harbor."

View on Google"Candidly, when I was booking our room at the Saltair Inn (the harbor suite), I said “I really hope it’s worth it!” After staying here four nights in June, my husband and I easily agreed it was MORE than worth it and we would love to return to Bar Harbor specifically so we could stay here again. TLDR: book your stay here immediately!!! The house is gorgeous - the grounds are incredible backing right up to the water with an amazing back deck and yard with plenty of chairs scattered around for all guests to sit outside and enjoy. We spent every night walking to town (easy 10 minute walk) and then sitting outside watching the sunset. Our room was incredibly comfortable and even in June we loved turning the gas fireplace on at night for the cozy vibes. Breakfast each morning was delicious and served by the friendliest innkeepers. Our only regret was planning two early morning outings so we missed two breakfast services, but we were kindly provided with bananas and muffins to take with us. The innkeepers also readily provided us with tons of recommendations from restaurants to hikes. Our room also had a super helpful binder with tons of detailed information about Acadia (which is a five-minute drive away). Everything was so convenient and perfect - we are still dreaming of our stay here and hoping to return as soon as we can. Book your stay!!! You will not regret it."

Relaxing deck and grounds with Adirondack chairs set throughout. Excellent location; park your car once and walk to all the shops, tours & restuarants. Had the charming Acadia Suite with two fireplaces, a patio and gorgeous waterviews from it's living room. True bonus is that you can walk onto beach from property the short distance to Bar Island during low tide, finding shells and beautiful rocks."
